JB ENTERTAINMENT

Questions & Answers

Clear answers regarding sound systems, MC leadership, repertoire requests, travel, and our booking process.

01

Do you provide Master of Ceremonies (MC) services?

Yes! Professional, polished MC services are included with all reception dance band bookings and can be added to cocktail/dinner packages. We coordinate announcements (grand entrances, toasts, first dances, cake cutting, last call) with your planner and venue so the timeline transitions smoothly without ever feeling cheesy or rushed.

02

Do you provide your own sound equipment and lighting?

Yes. We bring state-of-the-art concert-grade audio equipment for all bookings. This includes dedicated wireless microphones and speaker coverage for ceremony, cocktail hour, toasts, and receptions. Intelligent dance-floor lighting is included with all JB All-Stars band bookings.

03

Can we add additional instruments or vocalists for the ceremony or cocktail hour?

Absolutely. We frequently collaborate with additional world-class musicians—including violinists, cellists, harpists, trumpeters, or guest vocalists—to tailor the musical ensemble exactly to your aesthetic and vision.

04

What makes JB Entertainment different from typical wedding agencies?

The combination of conservatory-trained musicianship (Berklee College of Music), relentless preparation, and white-glove professionalism sets us apart. We don't just show up to play songs; we actively partner with your venue and coordinator to take all sound logistics off your shoulders so you can focus entirely on celebrating.

05

Do you travel for destination weddings and out-of-town celebrations?

Yes, we perform at weddings, luxury galas, and private events nationwide and internationally. Travel arrangements and production logistics are handled cleanly and itemized transparently in your custom proposal.

06

What is your booking process and deposit requirement?

A 30% deposit and signed electronic performance agreement officially reserves your date on our calendar. The remaining balance is typically due two weeks prior to your event date. We also conduct detailed timeline consultations and song check-ins prior to the wedding.

07

Can we request custom songs that aren't on your song list?

Yes! For ceremony bookings, John custom-arranges up to three personal songs for solo guitar or piano. For reception dance band bookings, we learn and perform your first dance song live, and will happily learn parent dance songs or queue specific recorded versions on our pro sound system.

08

Can you accommodate cultural or religious music traditions?

We are deeply honored to accommodate cultural, spiritual, and family wedding traditions. We collaborate closely with couples to integrate traditional melodies, ceremonial processionals, and celebratory dances (such as the Hora or special family heritage dances) with utmost authenticity and reverence.
